The STEM Career Awareness Programme (SCAP) is a public senior high school programme for girls focused on STEM career familiarization through interactive sessions by African women who have made strides in their careers in STEM.

Levers in Heels in collaboration with the Institute of Teacher Education and Development (INTED) in Ghana introduced SCAP as an intervention to spark the career interests of girls through interactions with African women in the STEM.

SCAP will expand to include mentoring and project-based learning activities while keeping its women in STEM focus. Our goal is to support girls in high schools to boost their interest, confidence, and develop mindsets that nurture future career opportunities in STEM.
